Transport in Montenegro

How can you arrive in Montenegro? First way to get here is by plane. There are two main airports – in Podgorica and in Tivat. Each of them has its own advantages so the choice here is really depends on your starting point. Tivat is situated on the Adriatic coast, you can get quickly to Kotor (11 km) and Budva (24 km). From Podgorica you can get quickly to national parks like Lake Skadar or Durmitor, also you can easily get to Bar by train.

Kamenari-Lepetane ferry allows you to get quickly from Herceg Novi to Tivat and vice versa and escape a very scenic but longer road through Risan, Perast, and Kotor. The cost for cars is 4 or 5 euros depending on the season. When you travel by bus, the cost is included in bus ticket.
